Aurelie Dussossoy
A French visual artist, her numerous residencies abroad have allowed her to unveil her artistic sensibility.
Inspired by the textures of decaying walls, urban art, and the New Realism of Jacques Villeglé and Raymond Hains, her paintings reflect the passing of time and tell the mysteries of the neighborhoods around her. Her technique is based on the marouflage of torn posters combined with the collage of street elements.
“Each piece of paper cut, torn, and then pasted is a story that is added to another story to write a new chapter. Nothing is lost, everything is created… A personal art to create a link between past and future stories…”
